Crushes come and go …
but Bob Dylan will always be the man for me.
From age 13 when he changed how I saw the world, when my history teacher played “the times they are a changing” before we watched a documentary on the 1960s and I was so moved by whatever it was I was hearing as I all I knew was that I had never heard anything like it before, and I HAD to hear more.
until age 18 when I had his words etched on my body forever
to age 21 still in love with him and everything he says.
and forever.
I love that when my children ask me why it says “don’t look back” on their mummy’s wrist I can tell them all about Bob Dylan and what he means to me and how they should let music move them too even if it isn’t his.
just a thought.
